This show started in 2009 and till now they are not ready to accept the fact that this serial has no story line and it is like literally going on and on…… Show ke makers koi nahin pata ki yeh rishta kya kehlata hai…. Great! It has no story they just marry then they get divorced again something happens and then again they marry and then again divorce… the same thing happens….

The new ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai with Naira as lead role literally just copies its story from the old one with Akshara as lead role. I mean what is that… I do not watch it so I do not think about it.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a Hindi soap opera that premiered on January 12, 2009. It has completed 2800 episodes and is still running high on TRP. The serial is about a girl named Akshara, how she finds true love in an arranged marriage. Akshara and Naitik both had joint families. So, there were so many pre-marriage celebrations, and post-marriage celebrations on a grand scale. I can not write about all the marriages and functions that were shown in the show in nine years… I don’t know what is going on now in this serial as I stopped watching it long ago. All I can say is, this is a unique show which has shown numerous marriages of the lead pair not Akshara and Naitik but of their daughter Naira and Kartik.

A Unique Marriage Journey

They got married while on planet, then on Naira’s brother’s honeymoon, and then at their cousin’s wedding. Each and every festival or marriage in this show is all about Kaira, Kartik, and Naira. No matter who’s big or important day it is, they celebrate it. The Singhanias (Naira’s family) and Goaikers (Kartik’s family) have so much money to waste just on Kartik and Naira’s wedding. They celebrate every festival, even Karwachauth, which is by the way not a big festival in Rajasthan, but they celebrate it. Before every celebration, there is some misunderstanding, a drama unfolds during the celebration, and this continues till any new celebration begins. In short, this is a show about misunderstandings, festivals, drama, separation, festivals, misunderstandings cleared, marriage, festival, misunderstandings—the circle goes on… This is the picture of the show eight years ago, and this is the new picture of the same show after nine years.
