The Legendary Account of Bat Morks: Protector and Avenger of Ancient Egypt

Bat Morks, a legendary protector and warrior from ancient Egypt, is revered as a valiant hero. Serving as a Medjay (an elite police officer) for his hometown, Siwa, Bat Morks was tasked with maintaining order and protecting the kingdom. His wife, Aya, and son were his greatest treasures, until they were tragically taken from him.

Medjay and the Vault of Time

Bat Morks, a Medjay for the Siwan Poole, had a multitude of duties. One of his most crucial responsibilities was safeguarding a vault constructed by the ancients. The vault contained an orb and other mystical objects that held the key to controlling time. However, trouble was brewing in the kingdom under the rule of Ptolemy XIII, reign marked by discontent among the people. A group known as the Cult of Cosmos, disguised as masked men, plotted to steal the orb and other significant items. Despite their efforts, Bat Morks failed to convince them, leading to the kidnapping and tragic death of his son at their hands. Devastated, Bat Morks exiled himself to hunt down the Cult of Cosmos and avenge his son.

Chasing the Faceless Men

Travelling to Siwa for the first target, Bat Morks encountered Rudjek, the Heron, and then the Medunamun, the Ibis, the local priest. In Alexandria, he met Aya, who revealed that she had already eliminated another masked man, referred to as the Snake. Determined to uncover the truth, Bat Morks visited the Great Library in Alexandria. There, he followed the Snake to a bathtub and killed him, but not before the Snake divulged that someone else was responsible for his son's death. Subsequently, Bat Morks tracked and killed the rest of the Cult of Cosmos.

Encountering Cleopatra

After eliminating the Cult of Cosmos, Aya directed Bat Morks to meet her friend, Apollodorus, who provided further information. Apollodorus introduced him to Cleopatra, who confirmed that the masked men were the Cult of Cosmos and gave Bat Morks five more targets. Bat Morks then embarked on a mission to eliminate the newly designated targets: the Scarab in Memphis, the Hyena in Giza, the Crocodile in Krokodilopolis, and the Lizard in Memphis. Upon completing these tasks, Cleopatra assigned him new targets, including the royal general army officers, leaving Bat Morks questioning her intentions.

A Clash of Empires

Meanwhile, Aya travelled to Rome with Pompey to secure support for Cleopatra. However, Julius Caesar killed Pompey and brought his head to Cleopatra. Determined to uphold her alliance with Caesar, Cleopatra severed ties with Bat Morks and Aya. As a result, Bat Morks and Aya formed a group called 'the Hidden Ones'. On his deathbed, Apollodorus revealed to Bat Morks that Flavious and Septimus were the culprits behind his son's death and the theft of the orb. With this new knowledge, Bat Morks and Aya dedicated themselves to hunting these villains and avenging his son.

Final Atonement and Legacy

Bat Morks and Aya followed Apollodorus's clues to Cyrene, where Flavious attempted to control the populace using the activated orb. Bat Morks defeated Flavious and avenged his son. Simultaneously, Aya went to Rome to murder Julius Caesar, but managed to escape. Bat Morks and Aya learned that many enemies still lurked in Egypt. They decided to continue their mission, collecting all the constellations of the stars as per his son's wish. Aya became the leader of the Hidden Ones, and the duo embarked on endless quests to maintain peace in Egypt and keep the realm safe from future threats.

Bat Morks remains a symbol of valor and justice in ancient Egyptian lore, celebrated not just for his relentless pursuit of justice but also for his unwavering love for his family and his unyielding quest for peace.
