When Trump Finally Goes to Prison: The Future of the Secret Service as Prison Guards

Would Trump's Secret Service Agents Become His Prison Guards?

I hope that the Secret Service agents who were involved in deleting text messages from January 6th would get the duty to guard him while he is in prison. It makes perfect sense to me. It would be fitting for them to carry out their duty in this capacity.

I envision him serving his time in the general population, with a small gang of agents to protect him. This approach seems far more suited to the situation than what he and his agents deserve.

Alternate Prison Settings for Trump

Trump's likelihood of receiving a typical prison sentence is very slim. If he is sent to prison, he can be made to serve his time in a military prison, where the officer in charge might be granted the responsibility to look after his health and safety. Alternatively, he could be placed in a special facility outside the general prison system.

It is probable that Trump’s Secret Service detail would remain with him, unless he specifically dismisses them. It’s worth noting that a former president retains the ability to end Secret Service coverage. Additionally, Secret Service agents have the right to keep their firearms, similar to how prison officials can insist on no weapons in their facilities.

Legal Proceedings and Future of Secret Service Coverage

Following Little Donnie's (Trump) legal troubles, it is no longer a matter of 'if' but 'when'. Even as a layperson, I can confidently say that Little Donnie is as guilty as an errant child caught red-handed. It feels justifiable for him to lose his benefits if he is convicted. This scenario could save the taxpayers a significant amount.

Considering Trump as a “stable genius,” he would not need the Secret Service protection once in prison. Chances are that he will be confined to an 8x12-foot cell. However, there are some concerning groups, such as those claiming to be Proud Boys, QAnon, and other racist factions who may seek to prolong his incarceration.

In the end, the silver lining might be the lack of fast food on prison menus, potentially extending his life. Additionally, this situation could benefit taxpayers, as Trump could lose his benefits, thereby reducing public spending.
