The Best 5 Songs from Supernatural TV Series
The Best 5 Songs from Supernatural TV Series
The only reason I ever started watching Supernatural was because it included the song Fire of Unknown Origin in the episode Hell House. A fire of unknown origin, took my baby away! I’m just pissed they only used it once. It is such a bad-ass, driving song that goes perfectly with this series.
Supernatural's Timeless Soundtrack
Supernatural boasts a classic and heavy rock soundtrack from some of the most eminent bands in the music industry, such as AC/DC, Warrant, Kansas, George Thorogood, and many more. Each season starts off with a quirky guitar riff, typically played by musicians like Angus Young of AC/DC or Ted Nugent, and ends with the soulful rendition of Carry on my wayward son by Kansas.
My All-Time Favourite Musical Moments of Supernatural
Each episode of Supernatural is filled with incredible music that enhances the narrative and punctuates the drama. Here are some of my personal favorites:
1. Knocking on Heaven's Door - Bob Dylan
This poignant and inspiring song perfectly captures the essence of the show's characters and their relentless struggle. Bob Dylan's storytelling ability is at its finest here, reminding us why some of the best moments in music history are simple yet powerful.
2. Back in Black - AC/DC
The high-energy, driving rhythm of "Back in Black" complements the raw, uncompromising nature of the show. The song's raw intensity reminds us of the unbreakable bond between brothers Sam and Dean Winchester and their quest to protect the innocent.
3. Carry on My Wayward Son - Kansas
The majestic and emotional climax of "Carry on My Wayward Son" is an almost perfect fit to end each season. The guitar solos, soaring vocals, and uplifting melody are a testament to the enduring spirit of Supernatural and its characters.
4. Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd
This song's opening lines are a nod to the show's Southern roots and its unflinching heroes. With its hard-hitting guitar riffs and powerful vocals, it's hard not to let out a roar every time it plays, amplifying the tension and action in the episodes.
5. You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC
This classic rock song has a beat that's just as invigorating as the suspenseful and exhilarating moments in Supernatural. The bass riffs and headbanging tempo capture the unrelenting energy of the show's fight scenes and the relentless pursuit of the Winchester brothers.
While every song on Supernatural is just amazing, the rock and metal qualities really capture the essence of the series. However, my absolute favorite among the favorites is "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" by Bob Dylan. Not only is it a timeless classic, but it also complements the show's themes and characters perfectly.
Conclusion
Music in Supernatural is not just a backdrop; it's an integral part of the story. Each track plays a significant role in enhancing the drama and the emotional weight of each episode. From the raw power of AC/DC to the melodic mastery of Kansas, the show's soundtrack is a testament to the enduring impact of classic rock and metal music.
