Darth Vitiate: The Eternal Sith Emperor of Star Wars
Darth Vitiate, also known as Tenebrae and Valkorion, was a malevolent and powerful figure in the Star Wars universe. His rule over the Sith and the eternal Empire left an indelible mark on galactic history. Known as the greatest Sith in the galaxy, his reign lasted for over 1500 years, during which he manipulated and controlled vast swathes of the galaxy.
Biography and Early Life
Born in 5113 BBY, Darth Vitiate was a product of a long line of Sith purebloods. His father, Dramath, was the ruler of the planet Medriaas, and his mother was a poor farmer. At a young age, it became apparent that Tenebrae had no emotions, and his eyes were described as being “black as the void of space”. At the age of six, he discovered his Force sensitivity, which only fueled his dark desires.
Tenebrae's actions as a child were truly horrifying. At six, he snapped his stepfather's neck, and then tortured and killed his mother for months. Following that, he began ruling over villages on his homeworld, gathering supporters through a reign of terror. His father, Dramath, was eventually declared insane, and at the age of ten, Vitiate stripped him of his power, driving him insane before killing him.
Rise to Power
Over the next three years, Tenebrae conquered the entire planet of Medriaas, enslaving and killing any subordinates of his father. In 5100 BBY, he traveled to the planet Ziost, where he met the Dark Lord of the Sith, Markos Ragnos. Ragnos allowed him to rule Medriaas, and Tenebrae began constructing a palace on the planet Nathema, changing the name to Medriaas Tenebrae.
After the death of Ragnos in 5000 BBY, Tenebrae did not claim the title of Emperor because the Sith lords Naga Shadow and Ludo Kressh were fighting over who would become the new emperor. However, Tenebrae used this situation to instill panic among his followers, allowing the Republic to massacre the Empire.
The Rebirth and the Eternal Empire
Following the destruction of the Sith Empire, Tenebrae and the remaining Sith fled to the planet Dromound Kass. There, he and his followers performed a ritual that drained the planet Nathema, gaining him power, immortality, and the name Darth Vitiate. With the rebirth of the Sith Empire, Darth Vitiate set his sights on vengeance against the Republic and Jedi.
He encountered Jedi Knights Revan and Alek, turning them to the dark side in the process. However, in his long life, he was ultimately defeated by the Hero of Tython. Yet, his spirit lived on, surviving through clone bodies. As the Eternal Empire, he continued to rule from the hidden planet Zakkuul in Wild Space, where he had twin children named Arcaan and Thexan. However, the combined efforts of The Outlander and Arcaan eventually defeated him, putting an end to his reign of terror.
Conclusion
Darth Vitiate's story is one of power, corruption, and ultimate defeats. His reign as the Sith Emperor and Eternal Empire is a testament to his enduring impact on the Star Wars universe. Whether you view him as a tragic figure or a villain, his legacy continues to intrigue and inspire fans of the galaxy far, far away.
